Donation Criteria

The Dry Ridge Reuse Center accepts donations of good, usable, structurally-sound building materials and home goods. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Please follow the general guidelines below. If you�re unsure if your donation meets these criteria, please call 859-803-6043.

Must be 10 years old or newer, with all knobs
Dish washers
Gas and electric ovens
Range hoods
Range tops
Refrigerators
Washers/Dryers

Architectural Items
Antique items
Columns
Mantels
Porch Posts

Cabinetry
In good condition with intact doors and drawers
Full kitchen and bathroom sets
Individual pieces
Counter tops with straight sections, no holes
Hardware

Doors
Entryway units
Exterior or interior, no rot, cracks, or missing panes
Pre-hung or door slabs, no taller than 84�
Solid core commercial doors�accepted at staff discretion.

Flooring
Hardwood/Parquet flooring, 25 sq. ft. or more
New carpet 10�x10� or larger
Used carpet accepted without stains/pet odors
New padding
New vinyl tiles or vinyl sheets
Slate/Marble and ceramic tile

Furniture
No Office or Upholstered Furniture
Good condition and Structurally Sound
Case goods, book shelves
Hardwood tables and chairs

Hardware
Complete sets of door hardware
Any quantity of hinges, nails, screws, hangers, etc.

Lighting
Must be clean and in working order.
All wires must be intact and safe.
Globes are accepted, but must not be cracked.

Lumber and Sheetrock
Dimensional, 6� or longer
Trim and molding, 5� or longer
Sheetrock and plywood, 4� x 8� or larger
No scrap lumber

Miscellaneous
Free-standing wood stoves
Garden tools in working order
Hand tools and power tools, in working order
HVAC units, 5 years old or newer

Block, stone and brick: must be whole, clean and in re�usable condition.

Paint and Wall Coverings
Latex paint only, full, unopened and non-rusted
Wallpaper, borders, tools and glue

Bathtubs, fiberglass, claw-foot, steel, space permitting
Faucets, complete sets only
Sinks, kitchen and bath, without rust or cracks
Shower enclosures, no cracks or stains
Toilets, residential only
Miscellaneous plumbing hardware, fittings, pipes

Windows
Double Hung, Picture, Bay, complete, without rot,
cracks, or foggy glass. No sashes, single pane or storm windows.
